Jodrell Bank has been at the centre of radio astronomy ever since and has been responsible for the discovery of quasars, gravitational lenses and ground breaking research into pulsars and cosmic explosions such as supernovae. Sir Patrick Moore joins Sir Bernard Lovell to talk about how the radio telescope came to be built, despite enormous engineering and financial challenges.
